38th Technical Cadet Course 2026 Eligibility

The eligibility for Technical Cadet Course 2026 is clearly defined:

Candidates must have completed Intermediate or equivalent education from a recognized board or institution. This includes:

• Intermediate (FSc)

• Senior Cambridge

• GCE O Level / A Level

The focus is strictly on science-based education, ensuring candidates are academically prepared for technical and engineering disciplines.

Matric / O-Level Education Requirement

Applicants must have passed:

• Matric / Senior Cambridge / GCE O Level

• Science subjects are mandatory

• Minimum 60% marks are required

For O Level candidates, English must be compulsory in five subjects, maintaining uniform academic standards across different education systems.

This criterion ensures students have adequate proficiency in core subjects and language skills necessary for higher technical education.

FSc (Pre-Engineering) & A-Level Requirements

For FSc candidates:

• FSc (Pre-Engineering) with minimum 65% marks

• Marks may include 20 marks for NCC

• Strong emphasis on Mathematics, Physics, and Chemistry

For A-Level candidates:

• Must have passed Mathematics, Physics, and Chemistry

• Acceptable grades are Grade 1–6 or A–C

Computer Science & Engineering Programs Eligibility

Candidates who have completed FSc or equivalent with the subject combination of:

• Mathematics

• Physics

• Computer Studies or Computer Science

are eligible to apply for all engineering programs. This inclusion reflects the growing importance of computer science and interdisciplinary knowledge in modern engineering fields.

HOPE Certificate Provision

Students who are awaiting final results are also provided an opportunity to apply through a HOPE Certificate, subject to the following conditions:

• HOPE Certificate must confirm 65% expected marks

• It must be duly issued by the Head of the Institution

• Final FSc result card or mark sheet must be submitted within one week of board result announcement

Failure to submit results within the given timeframe may result in exclusion from the final merit list.

Ineligibility Conditions

Candidates will be declared ineligible if:

• They obtain less than 65% marks in FSc

• They score below Grade A–C in A-Level

• Required documents are not submitted within the specified deadline

Age Requirement (Linked with Education)

• Age Limit: 17 to 21 years

• Cut-off Date: 01 September 2026

• Age Relaxation: Three months (both upper and lower limits)
