- Qualification/Experience: i) Graduation (2nd Division) ii) Have Five (05) Years of service in the rank of Sub-Inspector and fulfill the following criteria for eligibility:
- a) has satisfactorily completed the probation period, and is confirmed in the rank of Sub-Inspector,
- b) Has served in the rank of Sub-Inspector for at least five years.
- c) Has not been awarded two major or ten minor penalties during the last two years as Sub-Inspector;
- d) Has spent a period not less than two years in the field assignments.
- e) Has successfully qualified for any of the courses in operations. investigation or intelligence functional streams at any police training institution.
- Age Limit: 30 to 50 for both males and female: No age relaxation in age limit
- Place Of Posting: Anywhere In Punjab
- Syllabus For Written Tests and Exams: PPSC will conduct one paper written test of 100 marks which will consist of two parts as per the detailed syllabus given at the PPSC official website:- Duration of Paper Total time for the written test will be 03 hours. The duration of the Subjective part will be 02 hours & 30 minutes and the duration of the Objective part will be 30 minutes.
- Part-1: 25 Multiple Choice Questions in English carrying 25 Marks with negative marking as per Policy of the Commission (Duration 30 minutes)
- Part II: 15 Subjective Questions in Urdu with no choice carrying 75 Marks (Duration 02 hours and 30 minutes)
Note: (a) A candidate who obtains a total 40 marks out of 100 marks of both parts will be considered to have passed the test. (b) Only 05 candidates, securing the highest marks against one vacancy, will be called for interview as per existing policy of PPSC. (c) Only the candidates would be eligible who fulfill the above conditions prescribed for eligibility on or before the closing date fixed for receipt of online applications will be called for written test. (d) Forged Ambiguous/ Tempered with Service Certificates shall not be accepted and render the candidates ineligible for the post.
