Program Benefits

The CM Punjab Veterinary Internship Program aims to create a skilled field force to support Punjab’s dairy and livestock industry. Eligibility Criteria

To qualify for the CM Punjab Internship Program 2026 apply online process, candidates must meet the following department standards:

For Veterinary Graduates (Vets)

  • Degree: DVM (Doctor of Veterinary Medicine) from an HEC-recognized institution.

  • Registration: Must be registered with the PVMC (Pakistan Veterinary Medical Council).

  • Age Limit: Maximum 25 years.

  • Domicile: Must hold a domicile of the respective district.

  • Employment Status: Must not be currently employed in any government or private organization.

For Para-Veterinarians (Para-Vets)

  • Qualification: 2-year LAD (Livestock Assistant Diploma) from a recognized institute.

  • Education: 10 years of education (Secondary School Certificate) with a focus on Livestock.

  • Age Limit: 18 to 20 years (Note: Some specific roles may allow up to 25 depending on the phase).

  • Domicile: Respective Punjab district domicile is mandatory.

  • Tools: Candidate must possess their own smartphone for field reporting.


Job Responsibilities

Interns selected for the CM Veterinary Internship Program will be involved in:

  1. Field Veterinary Work: Assisting in clinical cases at CVH/CVDs, performing vaccinations, and Artificial Insemination (AI).

  2. Data Collection: Gathering data on milk yield, feeding patterns, and animal health conditions.

  3. Public Awareness: Conducting “Livestock Baithaks” to educate farmers on best management practices.

  4. Reporting: Maintaining accurate technical records of vaccinations and tests.
