Criteria for Merit-Based Posting of Head Teachers in Public Schools

PECTAA, in collaboration with PMIU and the School Education Department, has designed a detailed Criteria for Merit-Based Posting of Head Teachers in Public Schools and provision of performance linked charge allowance.
The criteria was finalized in a high-level meeting chaired by the Special Secretary of the School Education Department on July 1, 2025, in Lahore. The PECTAA was tasked with designing a comprehensive and time table, including an MCQ-based online test, for selecting candidates on merit and evaluating them for performance-linked charge allowances.
Earlier, DPI Punjab has issued a notification in connection with the Identification of Potential Examination/Test Centers for Posting of Head Teachers in Public Schools of Punjab. The last date to submit the report by July 4, 2025 via the official WhatsApp groups.
Criteria for Merit-Based Posting of Head Teachers Selection
The merit-based selection of Head Teachers will be based on a multi-dimensional evaluation system which includes:
