- Syllabus for the Written Examination: One paper of MCQs type written test of 100 marks (90 minutes duration) comprising the following subjects:
- a) General Knowledge, Pakistan Studies, Current Affairs, Geography, Questions related to Counter Terrorism Department and its functions, NACTA. FATF, Terrorism, National Action Plan, and Basics of Anti-Terrorism Laws in Pakistan.
- b) English language comprehension, including synonyms, antonyms, sentence correction completion, one-word substitution, and idioms.
- c) Usage of basic software like MS Office, electronic record-keeping, the Internet, E-mail, etc.
- Physical Standards:
- Height (for men): 5×7″ (170.18 cm)
- Height (for women) 5×2″ (157.48 cm)
- Chest (only for males) 33×34.5″
IMPORTANT NOTES INSTRUCTIONS FOR MEDICAL CERTIFICATE
(1) A medical certificate tempered with or containing any overwriting or illegible entry will not be accepted unless the tempering or overwriting is properly signed and stamped by MS within the closing date. Any change, correction, or rectification in any form in medical certificate after the closing date will not be accepted.
(2) An incomplete medical certificate such as without mentioning Height, vision, Chest expansion, picture, signature and stamp of the MS or any entry subsequently will not be accepted and candidates will not also be given any extra time to make up deficiencies in the Medical certificate.
(3) Candidates must get Medical Certificate mentioning all physical measurements issued on or before the closing date, signed and stamped by the Medical Superintendent of District Headquarters Hospitals or Service Hospital, Lahore, or Police Line Hospital, Lahore, and enter the same physical standards in their online application form as per the medical certificate of physical standard.
(4) However, a medical fitness certificate issued within three months prior to the closing date of the advertisement shall be acceptable, subject to the condition that the candidate fulfills all other physical standards prescribed for the post. A medical certificate issued after the closing date shall not be acceptable in any circumstances.
(5) Medical certificates issued from Govt. Tehsil Hospital/Private Hospital will not be accepted at all.
(6) Chest expansion less than 1.5 is not acceptable, such as if a candidate has unexpanded chest 38 and expanded chest 39, it will not meet the requirement of eligibility and to be rejected unless he possesses the chest standard, as un-expanded 38 and expended by 1 1⁄2 inches will become 39 1⁄2 resultantly he possessed expansion 1 1⁄2 and will be held eligible with regard to chest standered as per advertisement/service rules.
(7) The medical certificate issued on the OPD slip is not acceptable. A medical certificate issued only in the format of the PPSC will be accepted, which is available on the PPSC website (www.ppsc.gop.pk).
