General E-Transfer Round 2025 for all categories

The E-Transfer Round 2025 has been officially announced by the School Education Department, Punjab. According to the notification issued on 15th September 2025, the General E-Transfer Round will commence from 22nd September 2025. This decision was made with the approval of the competent authority for categories including Open Merit, Awaiting Posting, Promoted, Mutual & Surplus Teachers.

The SIS Punjab e-transfer portal will remain active according to the schedule provided below. Teachers who wish to apply must strictly follow the instructions to ensure their applications are processed without delay.


Official E-Transfer Round 2025

The Punjab Education Department has outlined the following timeline for teachers:

Key Points of the E-Transfer Round 2025

The Punjab School Education Department has shared important points for teachers applying through the e-transfer portal:

  • Surplus Teachers: All teachers marked as “Surplus” on the SIS system must apply in this round for further postings or adjustments. If not, the system will automatically adjust them in under-staffed schools. No excuses will be entertained.

  • Awaiting Posting & Promoted Teachers: These teachers must apply by giving maximum preferences through SIS for their postings or adjustments. As per Clause 11 (11.1 viii) of the E-Transfer Policy 2024, non-compliance will result in no pay or adjustment.

  • Updating Teacher Data: All CEOs (District Education Authorities) must update promoted teacher data on SIS before the commencement of this round.

  • Mutual Transfer: This round will also include mutual transfer opportunities.

  • Profile Verification: Teachers applying in this round must ensure their SIS profiles are verified.

  • Student Enrollment Verification: Verification of student enrollment in schools must be completed before this round begins.

  • Correction Requests: All correction requests received by CEOs must be updated on SIS.


General Instructions for CEOs (District Education Authorities)

The notification also emphasizes strict responsibilities for CEOs to ensure the smooth execution of this process. Below are the comprehensive instructions:

  1. Surplus Teachers: CEOs must ensure that all surplus teachers apply through the system. Automatic adjustment will be made for those who do not comply.

  2. Awaiting & Promoted Teachers: CEOs must guide such teachers to submit their preferences on time. If they fail to comply, no adjustment or salary continuation will be provided.

  3. Data Accuracy: CEOs are directed to update the complete data of promoted teachers on the SIS portal before the commencement of this round.

  4. Mutual Transfers: Ensure smooth facilitation of mutual transfer cases through the portal.

  5. Profile & Enrollment Verification: Teachers’ profiles and students’ enrollment records must be verified before this round begins.

  6. Correction Handling: All pending requests for corrections received through CEOs should be resolved and updated on SIS promptly.

These measures have been enforced to ensure transparency, fairness, and efficiency across all districts.
