The School Education Department, Government of Punjab (Monitoring Wing), has officially issued a notification in connection with “e-Transfer schedule 2025″ specifically for surplus teaching staff. All the surplus teachers are requested to submit online “Preferences” through School Information System (SIS) to ensure transparency and efficiency. This initiative is a crucial part of the rationalization process aimed at balancing teacher distribution across schools.
Every year, many schools in Punjab experience an imbalance in teacher allocation — some schools have excess staff, while others face shortages. To resolve this, the School Education Department Punjab identifies teachers as “surplus” based on school staffing requirements. These surplus teachers are then adjusted into understaffed schools through an e-Transfer mechanism.

Important Guidelines

All surplus teachers must log in to the SIS app and provide their preferences.
