Grand Of Adhoc Relief Allowance 2023 For Punjab Employees
Government of the Punjab, Finance Department has issued much awaited notification on 8th August 2023 in connection 2ith Grand Of Adhoc Relief Allowance 2023″ @35% Of Basic Pay as on 30th June 2023 to the employees of punjab government who is working from BPS-01 to BPS-16.
The employees who is working from BPS 16 to onwards will get @30% of basic basic pay as on 30th June 2023. Now doubt it is a great news for government employees who has been struggling for it for a long time and demanding for their basic right.
The federal and all other provinces except Punjab increased the pay and pension as per budget 2023 announced by the federal government in June 2023 but Punjab govt refused to give this benefit to it’s employees which was sheer injustice.
All the employees including the employees of school education department protester on it last month in front of secreteriate Lahore and demanded that their pay and pension should be equal as per federal government employees and government assured them that their pay and pension would be enhanced.
Now the Punjab Government fulfilled his promise and increased the pay and pension as the employees were demanding. The following lines are given from the notification
“In continuation of this Department’s earlier Notification of even number dated 18.07.2023, the Governor of the Punjab has been pleased to revise the rate of Adhoc Relief Allowance-2023 to all the Civil Servants of the Punjab Government and contract employees employed against civil posts in Basic Pay Scales on standard terms and conditions of contract appointment as below, with effect from 01.08.2023:
- BPS-1 to 16: 22 @35% of Basic Pay as on 30.06.202
- BPS-17 to 22 @30% of Basic Pay as on 30.06.2023
The term “Basic Pay” for the purpose of Adhoc Relief Allowance-2023 will also include the amount of the personal pay granted on account of annual increment(s).
The other conditions shall remain the same as mentioned in above referred 3. notification.
