School Education Department Punjab (Monitoring Wing) has directed all the Chief Executive Officers (DEAs) in Punjab to observe the “Cultural Day” on 14th March 2023 (Tuesday) in all Public & Privave Schools In Punjab. A notification in this regard has been issued. In a previous notification, it was scheduled on 16th March 2023, but in this latest notification, the schedule of the culture day has been changed, and now it will be observed on tomorrow.
On this day, teachers and students celebrate Punjabi culture through talks, performances, food, and art exhibition. Students come in traditional dress to observe this day. They also make Punjabi food and eat them with their classmate. It can be an opportunity for students to learn about and appreciate the customs, traditions, and beliefs of their classmates and their families, promoting a sense of respect and understanding.
School Education Department Punjab has instructed to all CEOs that cultural day would be celebrated with great zeal and spirit. All the students, teachers, head teachers, Principals, AEOs, Dy. DEOs, DEOs, and CEOs shall wear the cultural dress of Punjab. Students may attend school in traditional dresses. However, all the classes will be held as per routine in all schools on this day.
SED further said that cultural activities must be observed at Divisional Headquarter levels. Each CEO (DEA) will consolidate the pictorial evidence of all activities relating to said event and send to this office through e-mail at ddm2.cmmf@gmail.com on the same day till 2:00 PM positively. Moreover, above said directions may be complied with in true letter and spirit.
