The School Education Department of Punjab has officially announced the winter vacation in Punjab 2025.by issuing a notification.  As we all know that winter vacation always brings a refreshing break from academic routines. These vacations allow learners to relax and enjoy some peaceful time away from their studies.

A few hours ago, Punjab Education Minister Sikandar Hayat shared this exciting news on his official Facebook and Twitter accounts, announcing the schedule for winter holidays in the province’s educational institutions. Following this, the School Education Department issued an official notification stating that all public and private schools will remain closed from December 22 to January 10, 2026.

The notification number SO(ACAD-I)1-31/2025 confirms that the competent authority has approved these dates, and all District Education Authorities (DEAs) have been directed to ensure strict implementation.

This announcement has also been forwarded to all relevant education departments, deputy commissioners, school directors, and attached institutions through official e-FOAS channels. This ensures full compliance and transparency across the province.

The official notification issued on 04 December 2025 serves as the latest school holiday notification today 2025. It clarifies all doubts, confirms the exact dates, and ensures parents receive timely information for travel planning.

All related departments—including PEIMA, PEF, DREP, Special Education Department, and District Education Authorities—have received the circular for immediate compliance.

According to the latest notification regarding winter vacation in Punjab 2025 by the Punjab Education Department and Minister for Education, Rana Sikandar Hayat, the schedule for winter vacations in all schools across Punjab has been officially confirmed.

Last Working Day: 19 December 2025 (Friday)
All educational institutions will observe 19 December as the final academic day before the winter break.

Commencement of Vacations: 22 December 2025 (Monday)
Winter holidays will formally begin on 22 December 2025.

Schools will also remain closed on 20 December ( Alternate Saturday) and 21 December (Sunday).

Conclusion of Vacations: 10 January 2026 (Saturday)
Winter vacations will end on 10 January 2026, followed by Sunday on 11 January.

Reopening of Schools 12 January 2026 (Monday)
Academic activities will resume on 12 January 2026.
