A committee is constituted for the regularization of SSEs/AEOs

On 27th December 2022, all Assistant Education Officers (AEOs) and Secondary School Educators (SSEs) strongly protested in Lahore for the regularization of their job status. They protested peacefully for seven days for the unconditional regularization of their service in the severe cold and fogy weather. They demanded that their regularization should not be linked to Punjab Public Service Commission. They called off their protest after the successful agreement with Punjab government representatives.

A very important meeting is going to be held on 03.01.2023 (Tuesday) at 01:00 PM in the Committee Room of S&GA Department under the chairmanship of the Minister for Cooperatives, Environment Protection & Parliamentary Affairs, Govt. of Punjab for the regularization of Contract employees of School Education Department i.e. SSES/AEOS. A notification in this regard has been issued on January 2, 2023 by the school education department. The following high-level committee is constituted to look into the matter regarding the regularization of SSEs/AEOs across the province:

1. Minister for Cooperatives, Environment Protection & Parliamentary Affairs, Govt. of Punjab
2. Minister for Higher Education Department, Govt. of Punjab
3. Minister for School Education Department, Govt. of Punjab
4. Secretary, School Education Department
5. Representatives of SSES/AEOs
6.  Any other member to be coopted

 Terms of Reference (TORs)

The Committee shall make definite recommendations to the Chief Minister, Punjab after a holistic review of the cases of regularization of contract employees of the School Education Department i.e., SSES/AEOS under relevant Rules/policies.
