The Government of Pakistan, under the Ministry of Industry and Production, has officially announced the New Electric Rickshaw and Motorcycle Scheme 2025 for interested individuals who wish to purchase these vehicles on installment plans. This scheme falls under the “New Energy Vehicle Policy 2025-30.” This initiative is a part of the Pakistan Accelerated Vehicle Electrification Program (PAVE), launched by the Ministry of Industries and Production. For the convenience of the masses, online applications can be submitted from 1st September 2025 to 30th September 2025. Successful candidates will be selected through a computerized draw on 1st October 2025.
Note: This scheme is especially designed for women, delivery workers, and flat operators, as a special quota has been set aside for them.
New Electric Rickshaw and Motorcycle Scheme 2025
The slogan of the scheme, “Safar badlay ga – Pakistan badlay ga” (The journey will change, Pakistan will change), highlights the government’s commitment to adopting eco-friendly transportation solutions. The New Electric Rickshaw and Motorcycle Scheme 2025 will provide subsidized electric vehicles to reduce environmental pollution, save fuel costs, and offer citizens modern transportation options.
Under the first phase (2025-26), the Federal Government will provide:

40,000 Electric Motorcycles

1,000 Electric Rickshaws
Subsidies and Affordable Prices
The government is offering huge subsidies on electric motorcycles and rickshaws. According to the plan:
(1) A subsidy of Rs. 80,000 will be provided on each electric motorcycle.
(2) A subsidy of Rs. 400,000 will be given on each 3-wheels electric rickshaw and Loaders
(3) Loans of up to Rs. 2 lakh for electric motorcycles on easy installments of two years
(4) Loans of up to Rs. 860,000 for electric rickshaws on easy installments of three years
This means that the new electric rickshaw price in Pakistan will be significantly lower than market rates۔ Apart from this Government will also save Rs. 290 billion in imported fuel. Environmental pollution will aslo be reduced.
Deadline for Applications
The application process for the first phase of the New Electric Rickshaw and Motorcycle Scheme 2025 will remain open until 30th September 2025. Interested citizens must apply before the deadline to secure their chance and join the computerized draw.
How to Apply?
The online application process will start from tomorrow (1st Sep 2025). All Pakistani nationals are requested to visit the www.pave.gov.pk website for the submission of an online application.
