Now the wait is over and finally School Education department Punjab has released budget for School Teachers Interns STIs salaries. Directorate Of Punjab DPI (Elementary Education) has issued notification in this regard and directed to all Chief Executive Education Officers in Punjab to ensure about the payment of remuneration to all hired STls of all phases till 30th of June, 2022 before Eid-ul-Azha positively and submit clearance certificate to this Directorate till 1st of July, 2022.
If, after 30 of June, 2022 any claim of payment is placed in the Directorate in shape of complaint, the Drawing and Disbursing Officer alongwith Executive Head of the District shall be responsible and the matter wil be inquired Ander PEEDA Act-2006.
The Government of Punjab, School Education Department has already released budget for Honorarium vide letter No. SO (Budget-1) 3-2/2021(P-1) dated 25.03.2022 for payment to hiring of School Teacher Interns STIs.
The contract period of School Teachers Interns STIs has been finished before summer vacation but yet they have not received their remuneration. They strongly protested against the current government infront of Punjab Assembly last month. The Govt. officials assured them about the issuance of the remuneration before 31st May 2022. But they not fulfilled their promise. Now DPI Punjab has taken strict notice and issued orders to the concerned CEOs. Hopefully STis will get their payment before 30 June 2022.
