School Education Department Punjab changes the school timing twice a year. In summer school timing changes w.e.f 16 April to 15 October. In winter the new school timing changes w.e.f 16 October to 16 April in every year. School Education Department Punjab issues notification for the implementation of the new school timing in all public and private schools across the province.
All the public and private schools in punjab follow the new schedule as per the notification. However, District Education Authority (DEA) can slightly increase or decrease the school timing as per local weather conditions, for this they will have to issue a separate notification. If any DEA issues a separate notification about winter school timing, We’ll try our best to share it in this post.
Today, SED Punjab has issued a notification in connection with New School Timing 2022 w.e.f from 17th October 2022 to 15 April 2023. All public and private schools in Punjab will follow the following school timing w.e.f 17th October 2022.
- Boys Schools(Single Shift): 08:30 am to 2:30 pm( Monday To Thursday & Saturday)
- Girls Schools(Single Shift): 08:15 am to 2:15 pm( Monday To Thursday & Saturday)
- Friday Timing Boy Schools: 08:30 am to 12:00 pm
- Friday Timing Girl Schools: 08:15 am to 11:45 am
- Insaaf Afternoon/Double Shifts Schools(First Shift): 08:00 am to 12:30 pm( Monday To Thursday & Saturday)
- Insaaf Afternoon/Double Shifts Schools(Second Shift): 01:00 pm to 05:30 pm( Monday To Thursday & Saturday)
- Insaaf Afternoon Schools(1st Shift): 08:00 am to 12:00 pm( Friday)
- Insaaf Afternoon Schools(2nd Shift): 02:30 pm to 05:30 pm( Friday)
