Federal Public Service Commission (FPSC) has announced the tentative schedule through “Advance Public Notice” for Special CSS Exam 2023 for those candidates who may be eligible to apply as per conditions set out in relevant Rules. The Special CSS Competitive Examination is to be held only once against vacancies that remained unfilled through CSS Competitive Examination over the last many years.
FPSC shall announce time table in due course. The Special CSS Exams 2023 will be held for the following provincial/ regional quotas only. Therefore, candidates of only the following regions/ quotas will be eligible to apply:

Tentative Schedule For Special CSS Exam 2023
- Online Applications for MCQs Based Preliminary Test (MPT) for Special CSS Competitive Examination. 10th to 26th December 2022.
- Conduct of MPT & Posting of Answer Key on Web: 31st January 2023
- Announcement of MPT Result: 15th February 2023
- Public Notice for Written CSS Special Competitive Examination: 19th February 2023(Sunday)
- Receipt of online applications from MPT Qualifiers: 19th February to 5th March 2023.
- Receipt of Hardcopy of online applications along with documents from MPT Qualifiers: Up till 15th March 2023.
- Written CSS Special Examination (commencement date): 4th May 2023 (Thursday)
A screening test MCQS Based Preliminary test (MPT) will be held prior to the written CSS Special Exam 2023. Qualifying the prescribed MCQs-based Preliminary Test (MPT) shall be mandatory for appearing in Main Written Special CSS Competitive Examination. Fee for MPT will be Rs. 250/- (Non-Refundable).

The upper age limit will be 32 years. Two years of relaxation in the upper age limit to the categories specified in Rule 6(2) would also be admissible.
