HEC Has Announced Law Admission Test 2023 Schedule

The higher education commission (HEC) of Pakistan has announced the Law Admission Test 2023 schedule for students desirous of getting admission in five years undergraduate LLB degree program.  The students who have passed the Higher Secondary Certificate (HSSC) or equivalent/grade 12 education are eligible to appear in LAT 2023. The last date for online registration is 27th March 2023.

This post contains all information regarding the eligibility of the applicants, test pattern and syllabus, date of examination, detail of examination centers and how to register etc.

The Law Admission Test is an entrance exam conducted by the HEC to assess prospective law students’ aptitude and critical thinking skills. If you are planning to take the LAT, it is important to prepare well in advance. The test pattern and syllabus are given. This pattern will help you to prepare yourself before the exams. The passing marks for LAT 2023 will be 50%.

Who Can Apply For Law Admission Test 2023

As we already mentioned above that the students who have passed intermediate (HSSC) or equivalent/grade 12 education are eligible to appear in Law Admission Test 2023. If the candidate appeared in the final exams of HSSC or equivalent and waiting for the result is also eligible for LAT 2023.

The date Of the Examination 

The Law Admission Test (LAT) will be held on 9th April 2023. Any modifications to the exam date that are necessary due to unavoidable circumstances will be announced on the HEC website. The roll number slips will be available on https://etc.hec.gov.pk/. Candidates are required to provide a valid email/mobile number on which they wish to receive Roll Number Slips and others detail. A print of the Roll Number Slip, Original paid Fee Challan and Original CNIC will be required to enter the Test Centre on the Test Day.

Details Of Examination Centers 

The test will be conducted in the major cities of Pakistan such as Bahawalpur, Dera Ismail Khan, Faisalabad, Gilgit, Gujrat, Hydrabad, Islamabad, Karachi, Lahore, Multan, Nawabshah, Peshawar, Quetta, Sahiwal, Sargodha, Sukkur, Turbat and Khairpur. The list of Test/Examination Centers for Law Admission Test 2023 is on the application form, and applicants can choose any one of them. Please note that you can’t change the Exam Center after you’ve successfully registered.

Test Fee of Rs. 1800/-is to be deposited in Account No. 1742 7900 133401, Account Title: Higher Education Commission, Bank: Habib Bank Limited. Branch Code: 1742 Download Bank Fee Challan while registering for the test at http://etc.hec.gov.pk. (Fee Challan is only available on ETC online registration portal).

When filling out the application on the ETC online registration portal, all applicants must upload the Paid & Scanned Fee Challan that has been officially stamped by an HBL branch.

The test fee is non-refundable and non-transferable.

Note: On the day of the exam, you must bring your original CNIC or passport as well as the original applicant copy of the paid fee challan; otherwise, you will not be permitted to take the test.
