Training Of PSTs On SNC: Quaid-e-Azam Academy for Educational Development (QAED), Punjab is an attached entity of School Education Department with the mandate of providing Professional Development to the public school teachers and education managers all over Punjab. QAED is planning to launch training of Primary School Teachers (PSTs) on Single National Curriculum (SNC) and Model Textbook (Pre-I to V).
As per directions of Provincial Government, PSTs from private schools are also to be included in this training to make a comprehensive plan for training of Primary School Teachers from all sectors (Public & Private) detailed data of Primary School Teachers of private schools in your respective districts is urgently required. QAED has already written letters in this regard to all CEOS (DEAs) and also got issued clear directions from School Education Department (SED) vide No. SO(Trg)2-75/2020 dated 18.05.2021 (copies enclosed) for collection of data of Primary School Teachers of private schools on prescribe format but the response from their end is quite disappointing. Only (07) seven districts (Okara, Lodhran, Muzaffargarh, Rawalpindi, Jhelum, Bahawalnagar, and Attock) responded so far but the data received is still not on the prescribed format.
3.It is pertinent to mention here that Secretary SED is personally monitoring the progress of this activity and delay in submission of data of PSTs of private schools in your districts in turn causing delay in the finalization of training conduction plan for training of PSTs on SNC and Model Textbooks (Pre-1 to V). The subject training is an extremely important activity to be completed before start of the new academic session from 1″ August 2021.
- Forgoing in view, QAED seeks your support for immediate compliance from CEOS (DEAS) of your district on the following deliverables:
- Submission of consolidated data of primary school teachers of private schools urgently on prescribed format.
- To ensure the participation of PSTs both from public and private schools in the training on SNC and Model Textbooks (Pre-l to V).
- To extend full support in the conduction of this training regarding resolution of any administrative issues.
As per directions of Hon’able Minister for School Education PSTs from private schools as well as from the schools, other than regular public schools fall under the ambit of School Education Department, may also be included in this training. To make a comprehensive plan for training of Primary School Teacher from all sectors (Public & Private) detailed data of such schools is required.
therefore it is requested to you to provide data of Primary School Teachers working in private schools of your district on the format given in the attached Performas, so that the training plan may be finalized for conduction of subject training alongwith the PSTs of public school. Furthermore, a list of capable teachers from private schools may also be provided who will deliver training to primary school teachers of private sector at district level as Master Trainers.
