7th Digital Census 2022-Remuneration, Duty Orders, Training

Pakistan is famous in the world for many reasons as it is the only country in the world that came into being in the name of Islam. It is the seventh and first Muslim country in the world to have declared nuclear weapons. It has a brave army which is the world’s sixth-largest standing armed forces. It is well known in the world for its several ancient civilizations, rivers, mountains, and languages.

Above all, Pakistan is also papular all over the world in terms of population  It is the 2nd largest Muslim country after Indonesia and the fifth most populous country overall, nearly 243 million people live in this country. Now the federal government has decided to count the Pakistanis once again through the 7th digital census 2022-23 as per the following schedule/timeline.

(1)Timeline For 7th Digital Census 2022

  • Field Operation for Pilot Census: 20th July 2022 To 3rd August 2022
  • Analysis of pilot outcome and recommendation for rollout: 4th August To 15 August 2022
  • Acquisition of Complete software: 15th October 2022
  • Testing of software, Hardware: 16 October to 15 November 2022
  • Training of Master Trainers: 5th December 2022 to 15 December 2022
  • Training of Trainers (Division level): 19 December to 23rd December 2022
  • Training of Enumerators (Tehsil level): 7th January to 19th January 2023
  • Self-Enumeration: 15 January to 30th January 2023.
  • Face-to-face interviews: 1st February to 4th March 2023.
  • Post-Enumeration Survey: 15th March to 15th April 2023
  • Hand over the results to ECP: 30th April 2023

7th Digital Census 2022

The 7th Population Housing Census Training of Master Trainers Program was officially launched on December 6, 2022 at the National Institute of Banking and Finance (NIBAF), Islamabad. The chief guest was Ahsan Iqbal, minister of planning, development, and special initiatives. Members and other top executives of the Pakistan Bureau of Statistics, as well as Chief Statistician/Chief Census Commissioner Dr. Naeem uz Zafar, attended the ceremony.
The training will be conducted in 5 batches. These Master Trainers will further train trainers
at the division level who will further train enumerators at the tehsil level. Hence training will be
completed in three tiers and will be imparted by ethical, subject, and IT experts from PBS and NADRA. The main focus is on standardizing the concepts as the quality of training will ensure reliability

(2)Training of Trainer (ToT) For 7th Population and Housing Digital Census, 19th December to 23rd December 2022.

Pakistan Bureau of Statistics (PBS) issued a letter on 14th December 2022 regarding “Training of Trainer (ToT) For 7th Population and Housing Digital Census”. This training has been started on 19th December and will continue till 23rd December 2022 for the upcoming 7th Population and Housing Census, the Digital Census. After successful completion of this training, the Trainers will be deployed in their respective Census District to further train the: field staff (i.e. Enumerators and Supervisors).

  • PBS will bear the expenses of the above-mentioned training however the participants will have to manage their own boarding and lodging arrangements. In this regard funds will be transferred to concerned Deputy Commissioner.

(3)Remuneration Charges Of Field Staff For 7th Digital Census 2022 Population and Housing Census

Pakistan Bureau Of Statistics has allocated funds for the 7th Population and Housing Census-2022. All field staff(Enumerators. Circle Supervisors and Charge Superintendents) will get remuneration charges after the completion of their task.

  • Training Charges

 Each Field Staff i.e. Enumerators. Circle Supervisors and Charge Superintendents will be paid Rs.7,000/- lump sum for 05 days of Training i.e. Rs.1,400/- per day who will attend training.

  • Remuneration Charges

Remuneration Charges to the Field Staff i.e. Enumerators, Circle Remuneration Supervisors and Charge Superintendents will be paid @ Rs.20,000/- Lump Charges Sum to each after completion of Pilot Census for 7 Population and Housing Census.
