Today’s Meeting

An important meeting was held under the chairmanship of Dr.Murad Raas Education Minister Punjab to formulate an action plan for reopening the school. The meeting was attended by Secretary School Education Miss Sara Aslam, CEO Lahore and representative of other concerned institutions. The meeting reviewed in detail the problems which can be faced by students, teachers and schools due to COVID-19. We have to take all precautionary measures for students before opening schools across the province.

*SIS Data Updation Alert

>All data of teachers on SIS is editable except CNIC No And Personal No.

>Any teacher having issued of date of birth on CNIC and on Matric certificate is also editable. Correction can be made accordingly

>However the service Tab data of those teachers who were transferred through e-Transferprocess is locked.

>But remaining teachers it is also editable.

Must use all editable options if any requires before the due date so the e-transfer process should start.

*Remaining ESEs (2015) Regular Orders as PSTs have been issued today: DEA Shaikhupura

*31st May is the deadline to complete the assignment by CEOs with signed documents. It means headteachers should have access to the system till 30 May So CEOs may verify and send a signed copy.

*Mr. Farid Ahmad posted as Additional Secretary, Schools Education Department

*Muhammad Akram, District Education Officer (SE/BS-19), District Lodhran is hereby transferred with immediate effect and his services are placed at the disposal of School Education Department for further orders.

*Mr. Muhammad Jamal Nasir, (BS-19) presently awaiting posting is hereby posted as District Education Officer (SE/BS-19), District Lodhran, with immediate effect vice Mr. Muhammad Akram, transferred.

*DPI Punjab has issued “Deficiencies List” of Lady Officers Working in BS-17 for their Promotion To BS-18

*On the directive of the Minister for School Education @DrMuradPTI, the Punjab Curriculum & Textbook Board (PCTB) has banned the booklet series ‘Infant Mathematics’ of a private publisher for having objectionable content. The book has been banned under Section 10 of the PCTB Act 2015.

(2)TEVTA News

TEVTA has announced that all PBTE and TTB exams are canceled due to COVID-19. Now all DAE students and students of other technical programs shall be promoted to the next classes without any exams. DAE exams are cancelled on the directions of the Government of the Punjab.

The detailed promotion policy of the students will be finalized in a few days and will be announced. Hopefully the policy will be similar to that of Matric and Inter promotion. DAE students can also expect some extra marks.

* University Of Punjab Has Declares That The New Policy For 4 And 2 Year Academic Sessions Will Be Announced Next Year

*The last date for submission of admission forms of M.A/B.Com and LL.B all parts with single fee has been extended to 05-06-2020.

*PU will remain closed from Friday, 22nd May 2020 to Wednesday, 27th May 2020 on account of Eid-ul-Fitr holidays.

*M.A/M.Sc Supplementary Result Not Announced Yet.I confirmed from PU that result would announce after Eid-Ul-Fitr.

*According to PU spokesman, the exams of B.A./B.Sc. Part-II will be held from July 22 while exams of M.A./M.Sc. Part-II & B.Com. Part-II will be held from September 07. The spokesman clarified that for these Part II examinations, the students should prepare themselves for both traditional and MCQ based online examinations.

(8)UET BSc engineering entry test on June 13, 14

A combined entry test for admissions to BSc Engineering and BSc Engineering Technology in the University of Engineering and Technology (UET), Lahore, its constituent campuses and all government engineering institutes across Punjab, is scheduled to be held on June 13 and 14 at the centers allotted by the Virtual University (VU).

The Entry Test tokens are available on the designated HBL branches on payment of Rs1,200 till June 1. The last date for printing of admit card is June 2.

A mock test to guide the candidates on attempting the computer-based test will also be conducted on June 6 and 7 at the assigned VU centers.

However, the final test will be conducted on June 13 and 14.

Similarly, the results of the entry test will be declared on June 15 (midnight) and will be available on web portal admis-sion.uet.edu.plc.

The students can get all the information related to the entrance test from the UET Lahore website admission.uet.edu.pk.

(9)UVAS online exams from June 15

The online assessments/examinations will begin on June 15 after mock tests. The examinations will be unseen to be taken “Real-time” and “Time-Constrained” using only CTS/Google Classroom/emails and reply sheet/document (e-answer books) will be submitted to the examiners via CTS/Email/Google-classroom.

This evaluation mode is for the final term examination of current semesters 4, 6, 8, 10 and the current 2nd semester mid-term (First Year). The evaluation system will only award Fail/Pass for a subject that will also be reflected on the official transcript of UVAS.
